Imagine what I felt,
when I listened to the message
that would change the trajectory of my life,
Add to my title of educator, mother and wife.
I began to dream out loud.
Envisioning how my words would give voice to the voiceless,
Give inspiration to the disaffected,
Provide sight to the blind,
Motivate the paralyzed to move beyond the sublime.
Oh, how my heart fluttered,
Oh, how I listened attentively,
Allowing myself to dream beyond the dream before me,
Ecstatically happy to the highest degree.
What I discovered,
When I dreamed beyond,
—I found me.
